LISA POST ART BIOGRAPHY


LISA POST is an award winning graphic designer, fine artist, photographer, and art curator. She is a magna cum laude graduate of The New York Institute of Technology, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Design Graphics, and winning a Gold Medal in Design Graphics from the school. 


While working as a graphic designer for a division of Ogilvy and Mather Worldwide, her work for clients such as G.P. Putnam's Sons, Random House, Simon & Schuster, Alfred A. Knopf, and Crown Publishers, had appeared in magazines and newspapers, including The New York Times, The New Yorker, Publisher's Weekly, Vanity Fair, TV Guide, The Los Angeles Times, Vogue, GQ and numerous other publications.Her freelance clients have included The City of New Rochelle, Family Services of Westchester, New Rochelle Art Association, The New Rochelle Council on the Arts, The City of Yonkers, New York Institute of Technology, Kings Harbor Multicare Center and Lawrence Nursing Care Center. She has also created ads, logos, business cards, journals, posters, and invitations for various private and public clients.


She is a current member of the New Rochelle Art Association, and a former member of the New Rochelle Council on the Arts, and the Mamaroneck Artists Guild.


As a fine artist working in several medium, photographer and digital artist, she exhibits nationally. She has won many awards for her work and has sold many pieces as an exhibiting artist and photographer. Artwork of hers is often hanging in the City Hall Office of the Mayor of New Rochelle, a digital art piece was published in the 2008 calendar for the city, and photos published in the county-wide 2009, 2012, and 2024 Westchester Town Planner calendar. She completed a commission by the City of Yonkers for its Waterfront Revitalization project, has two photos in the International Library of Photography, and was a participant in the Tree Project of the International Fiber Collaborative, which is on permanent display in the Earlyworks Children's Museum in Alabama. Two pieces of her art are included in the book “Rescuing the Rhythm - The Spirit of New Orleans”, a charitable project. Lisa also donates her graphic design skills every year for various Veterans projects including designing the posters for the Memorial Day and Patriot’s Day activities in New Rochelle.


Since 2010 Lisa is also an art curator, curating several highly successful shows throughout Westchester and the Bronx. Lisa is a Certified Therapeutic Art Life Coach, teaching well received classes on the subject. She was also the Social Media Manager/Publicist for a large nursing home in the Bronx, creating and running their Facebook page, along with writing and securing ongoing articles in local newspapers and features on local tv stations. 


In 2024 she opened up her own online apparel store, Skater Tz, with all merchandise featuring one-of-a-kind creations designed solely by her.
